Build a real iOS test suite three ways with AI - an agent drives the Simulator, you direct.
What you'll learn

⚡ Build a complete iOS test suite three ways - in Maestro, Appium, and XCUITest - that catches real bugs in a live app
⚡ Use a mobile MCP to let an AI agent drive a real iOS Simulator and explore an app before any test exists
⚡ Test both a native SwiftUI and a cross-platform React Native app, and prove one test runs against both
⚡ Build four reusable AI Skills that encode your standards for test design, authoring, bug reporting, and flake triage
⚡ Read AI-generated mobile tests critically and catch fragile locators, weak assertions, and false greens
⚡ Ship all three suites to CI on macOS runners, and choose the right framework for any team or job
Requirements

❗ A Mac - iOS testing requires macOS and Xcode's Simulator (no Windows/Linux)
❗ Basic understanding of how a mobile app behaves - screens, taps, forms (no coding experience required)
❗ A free GitHub account
❗ Xcode, Node.js, and Antigravity - all free, installed in Section 3
Description

This course contains the use of artificial intelligence.
That is not a disclaimer - it is the whole point. This course teaches an AI-first mobile testing workflow, and the course itself was produced with it: AI-assisted scripts, narration, and code, reviewed and directed by a human instructor.
Mobile testing has always had a reputation: hard setup, flaky simulators, a different framework for every platform. In this course you learn to do it the way it actually works in 2026 - by letting an AI agent drive a real iOS Simulator, explore the app, and write the tests, while you stay the reviewer who decides what matters.
You will test one real app - TechShop for iOS - with bugs planted in it deliberately. A password shown in plaintext. Broken cart math. A checkout button that does nothing. A form that submits completely empty. By the end you will have not one but THREE test suites that catch them - in Maestro, in Appium, and in XCUITest - running automatically on every push.
What makes this course different
Most mobile courses teach one framework. This one teaches the three that matter - and teaches you to choose between them.
You test the same app built two ways - native SwiftUI and cross-platform React Native - and prove that one well-written test runs against both. Before you write a single test, you watch an AI agent open a real Simulator through a mobile MCP and explore the app on its own. Then you build reusable AI Skills - for designing test cases, writing tests, reporting bugs, and telling a real bug from a flaky one - that you keep and carry to your next job.
What you will produce
✅ Three complete iOS test suites - Maestro, Appium, XCUITest - catching real bugs
✅ Proof they run against both a native SwiftUI and a React Native build
✅ Your own AI Skills pack - four reusable skill files you keep forever
✅ Structured bug reports generated from real test failures
✅ Three CI pipelines running headless on macOS runners on every push
✅ A capstone on a second app you have never seen - completed independently
✅ A framework decision guide you can defend in an interview
Tools you will use
✅ Maestro, Appium (Python), XCUITest (Swift)
✅ Antigravity IDE + a mobile MCP
✅ Xcode + iOS Simulator, Node, GitHub Actions
This is a build-along course. You build the skills, all three suites, and the CI yourself, live, with the agent. The instructor builds the same alongside you and shares the finished versions so you are never stuck - but the learning is in the doing.
The honest part about AI
The AI writes the code. It does not know what "correct" means in your app - you do. A large part of this course is learning to read what the agent produces and catch it when it is wrong: fragile locators, weak assertions, and the most dangerous thing in automation - a test that passes for the wrong reason. Green does not mean correct. You mean correct.
Who this course is for

⭐ Manual and QA testers moving into mobile automation without a coding background
⭐ Web or Playwright testers who want the mobile half of the picture
⭐ Native SwiftUI or React Native developers who want durable end-to-end test coverage
⭐ QA engineers who need to match job postings naming Maestro, Appium, or XCUITest
⭐ Anyone who wants a standout portfolio - three suites, a skills pack, and live CI on GitHub
