Groundwater Modeling System (GMS) is a comprehensive graphical environment for performing groundwater simulations in three-dimensional models. Developed by Aquaveo, it combines a graphical user interface with numerical analysis codes such as MODFLOW and MT3DMS to support groundwater modeling workflows from initial site characterization through model construction and post-processing.
GMS provides tools for conceptual model development, mesh and grid generation, geostatistical analysis, and visualization. It also allows information to be shared between different model types and datasets, providing a unified environment for groundwater simulation projects.
The software is designed for workflows that require graphical preparation and analysis of groundwater models, including model setup, dataset management, simulation configuration, and interpretation of results.

Software Overview
Groundwater Modeling System (GMS) integrates graphical modeling tools with a range of groundwater analysis codes. The environment supports model conceptualization, site characterization, mesh and grid generation, geostatistics, simulation setup, and post-processing within the same application.
GMS includes support for multiple groundwater modeling technologies and provides facilities for transferring information between models and associated datasets. Its three-dimensional environment is intended for constructing, examining, and analyzing groundwater simulations.
In the 10.9 series, the Map from Coverage command for MODFLOW 6 modeling was moved directly into the package dialog, allowing mapping operations to be performed within the dialog instead of switching between separate windows.
