This entry-level course covers all aspects of the C# programming language. No prior programming experience is required. The course also introduces the student to SQL, XML and relational databases. The use of real-world examples provides the student with the background necessary to start programming professionally.
Each lesson contains an introduction wherein the purpose of the lesson is explained. The lesson then switches to a video highlighting the programming techniques being taught. Each lesson concludes with a summary of how the learning objectives benefit the student in everyday life as well as how they fit into the overall course goals.
The script and any source code associated with each lesson is available as an attached resource.
This course runs just under 5.5 hours total broken into 24 lessons. Most lessons vary in length between 8 and 15 minutes.
The instructor, Rick Phillips, has over 20 years of experience in IT. He began as a programmer after completing his Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin. He next moved onto relational database design and completed his career in IT management.
