Cockos REAPER is a lightweight Windows application for recording, arranging, editing, and rendering multi-track waveform audio. Despite its extensive feature set, the application remains compact, with the installer designed to use minimal disk space while including effects and a sample project.
REAPER supports ASIO, Kernel Streaming, WaveOut, and DirectSound for audio playback and recording. It can read WAV, OGG, and MP3 files and record WAV files. Projects can contain any number of items across any number of tracks, with support for DirectX and Jesusonic audio processing plug-ins, per-track volume and pan controls, envelopes, multi-layer undo/redo, and customizable color themes.
