Description
IntroductionWe created this course because the things you are intuitively doing for your organization may not be repeatable. This course teaches you how to focus on the creativity, without having to think about the functionality of how to actually achieve it.Why Innovate?Innovation is a team sport that allows you to work together to create scalable solutions that will help you transform and grow your organization. It allows you to get collective minds together and put best practices in play by staying focused as a team. What is a BAR?A Business Adoption Roadmap (BAR) helps organizations transition from buying software to adopting it, for example, by looking at process before product. It helps you identify what are the organization's priorities, what are the tools in place and how can they work together to achieve the company's goals in the most efficient way.Why does my business need a BAR?By creating a Business Adoption Roadmap (BAR), you can get higher level thinking out of the organization. A BAR challenges your employees to think differently about the problems and the things they're doing to uncover best practices across the organization.Business Use Cases (BUCs)Business Use Cases are the tasks and programs that we want to put into play that the BAR helps us uncover what does it take to accomplish, what are the things that we need to get done, what gaps exist, which tools, people and processes do we need to put in place and what external resources do we need to bring that together.BAR ImplementationTaking each of the Business Use Cases and determining which ones we want to lean into, now let's go do it. The adoption comes from how are we going to put it in place, how is it going to get done and what's our communication plan to inform everyone in the organization that needs to touch this and how to we train them.BAR Measuring & MonitoringBy creating a baseline we can determine where we are today. Researching what's the sentiment, what are we doing and what gaps do we have produces the baseline we can measure against on a regular basis. This determine whether we are on track. Internal and external data collection can help support this effort.BAR Quarterly Value ReviewOnce you have your BAR created and identify the Business Use Cases you're driving forward, a Quarterly Value Review will reflect on whether at the end of this period each project is complete or moving on to the next phase.BAR TimelineYour BAR has a list of projects that creates a roadmap for you to implement over the next say eighteen months to three years, for example. Breaking down the timeline by quarters, this identifies the key opportunities you want to work on achieving.Real World Examples: Why BARs WorkIn two hours you can be very effective with a small team and determine the first place to move forward. We have been able to work with organizations of all sizes and once their eyes are open, it totally changes their dynamic. Let me give you an example. We worked with a large grocery store chain and the vice president of end user experience. Some base level systems and processes were broken, because they were done in silos. The BAR process solved for this.Accelerating InnovationOnce you have completed your BAR, you can consider this version one and continue the process to create and execute the next iteration. Feedback and research will help identify what worked and what didn't, so by bringing everyone back to the table again you can foster collaboration and a new BAR based with fresh perspectives and insights.About LIFTWith nearly a decade of experience working with over 900 organizations, LIFT is helping businesses-including several Fortune 100 companies-realize over three-billion dollars in incremental revenue.
