Even after two years of living with Willem, Nordin, and Summit in Homer, and spending hunting season at the cabin with them, not having a voice had never been an issue for any of us.
I had made my decision to not undergo surgery to be able to speak that one time it was offered to me, and I didn't regret my decision.
But this hunting season, having a voice could've saved me from things I didn't see coming.
