Emergence Audio Envoy is a rhythmic percussion instrument built around a real-time Rhythmic Variator™. It combines 600 analog percussion sources across two independent layers and continuously recombines them during playback to create evolving rhythmic patterns.
The Cadence Engine reshapes sequences as they play, allowing controlled variation without requiring manual programming of extensive round-robin and velocity patterns. Users can determine how much each section evolves while keeping the original pattern available whenever variation is disabled.
With two independent layers, three clocks, per-step parameter control, and multiple keyboard workflows, Envoy provides a flexible environment for creating moving percussion patterns, evolving grooves, and rhythmic sound design.
Software Overview
Emergence Audio Envoy uses two independent percussion layers, each containing four blocks with one to eight steps. Each layer operates at its own sequencer rate, while a Master LFO provides a third independent clock.
The Cadence Engine can randomize and continuously evolve selected sections of a sequence. Variation can be applied per mode, block, and parameter, allowing users to introduce movement while retaining control over the underlying pattern.
The two layers can be locked together for synchronized rhythmic movement or separated to create patterns that cycle against each other over longer musical phrases.
