Enhancements
- User's Guide and Release Notes are now published using Sphinx documentation generator.
- Users can now change the order of the layers in the multilayers using Up and Down commands
Corrections
- #209759: Units of each acoustic and mechanical parameters have been added in the window "Define Porous Material".
- Units of each mechanical parameters have been added in the window "Define Elastic Material".
- #209764: Graph windows have been updated to avoid some errors around the value of 0 in Axis Y that could previous appear in some case.
- #215473: User can only enter a monopole load with with a strictly negative value of position in direction Z. In addition any older files which do not satisfy this restriction will be automatically corrected and the value of the position in Z will be replace by -0.01.
- #216381: Validation examples 8 to 10 have been updated to make sure they are fully converged.
- #NOVA-26: Correction of an error appearing when removing a layer with the direct solver.
- #NOVA-24: Correction of an exportation graph issue. Any graph can now be exported in a excel file.
NovaFEMis a multipurpose vibro-acoustics prediction tool. It is based on a 3-D finite element method. It is the low frequency predictions complement of Nova Module. NovaFEM is tailored towards the vibro-acoustics of multilayered structures including porous and viscoelastic layers. It handles three configurations or calculation approaches: (i) the structure is coupled to a cavity or to a semi-infinite fluid domain (direct approach), (ii) the multilayer is inserted in a waveguide (waveguide approach), and (iii) the multilayer is treated as a Periodic Unit cell. The Windows version is limited to rectangular domains meshed using quad4 and hexa8 elements.
