No previous drawing or animal knowledge is required. Children simply need to be able to follow basic step-by-step drawing instructions and be willing to explore, create, and learn about animals. All drawing activities and research tasks are guided throughout the course, so beginners are very welcome!

Welcome to the Animal Sanctuary!
Six baby animals have mysteriously disappeared, and the sanctuary needs your help! In this fun, creative self-paced adventure, learners will becomeRescue Rangers, working alongside Captain Quill, the sanctuary's clever parrot, to solve the mystery and help bring the missing animals home.
The course is divided intosix exciting sections, with each section focusing on a different baby animal: apuppy, elephant, chameleon, river otter, pony, and panda. Through a combination of drawing, research, creativity, and storytelling, learners will discover fascinating facts about each animal while developing a range of valuable skills.
Each animal rescue includes three creative challenges. First, learners will follow astep-by-step drawing tutorial, learning how to observe shapes, features, and details as they create their own animal illustration. Next, they will become anAnimal Detective, researching interesting facts about their animal, including its habitat, diet, behaviour, adaptations, and basic needs. Finally, they will take part in aCreative Care Challenge, using their imagination to design a habitat, shelter, safe space, or other environment to help their rescued animal feel happy, healthy, and secure.
The course has a consistent structure throughout, helping learners build confidence while each new section introduces a different animal and another part of the unfolding sanctuary mystery. Lessons are delivered throughpre-recorded video instruction, clear drawing demonstrations, colourful slides, and an engaging adventure story.
I guide learners through each activity in a friendly and encouraging way, with instructions designed to be accessible to a range of ages and abilities. Because this is a self-paced course, learners canpause, rewind, replay, and revisit lessons whenever they need to, allowing them to work at a comfortable pace.
Along the way, learners will developdrawing, observation, research, creativity, critical-thinking, and animal knowledge skills, all while taking part in an imaginative rescue adventure.
Learners can also choose to share their drawings, Detective Files, and Care Challenge creations in the course community. I love seeing what learners create and will provide encouragement, respond to questions, and celebrate their creativity where appropriate.
