If you are an aspiring stunt performer, a film student or action extra or even a director wanting to understand the functioning of a stunt department better, this is the course for you.
This is not a physical certification course. The roles within the stunt department do not all require an action based physcial aspect. Learn the different positions that make up a stunt department and where you might fit in.
Understanding the day to day functioning of a stunt department can help a production team with their planning of a shooting schedule. Where does rehearsals fit into the planing phase of a production? How do action set resets affect shoot days?
If you are thinking of a career in film this course can help you in understanding some requirements for a stunt unit. Being physically able to perform a stunt sequence is only one aspect needed to become a stunt professional. Team work, reliability and trust form the core of a stunt team. This course will teach you some of these requirements.
Gain knowledge in compiling a showreel and where and to whom to present it.
