What you'll learn
Interpret ISO/IEC 42001:2023 requirements clause by clause, including auditable and non-auditable clauses
Design, evaluate, and audit an Artificial Intelligence Management System (AIMS) aligned with ISO standards
Plan, conduct, lead, and close ISO 42001 internal and certification audits using ISO 19011 principles
Identify, assess, and treat AI risks such as bias, hallucinations, autonomy, misuse, and ethical impacts
Audit the entire AI lifecycle: data management, model development, deployment, monitoring, and change management
Evaluate AI governance, leadership commitment, and ethical AI policies
Perform Annex A control audits, including human oversight, explainability, incident management, and third-party AI controls
Requirements
Basic understanding of management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 27001, ISO 14001, or similar is helpful but not mandatory)
General awareness of Artificial Intelligence concepts, such as data, algorithms, models, and automation (no coding required)
Interest in AI governance, ethics, risk, and compliance
Professional experience in auditing, compliance, risk management, IT, quality, security, or AI-related roles is beneficial but not required
Ability to read and understand ISO standard-style documentation
No prior ISO/IEC 42001 knowledge is required - the course starts from fundamentals and progresses to Lead Auditor level
No prior Lead Auditor certification is required
