Wing Commander Geoffrey Morley-Mower is a tactical reconnaissance pilot flying throughout the western desert of Northern Africa in 1941-42. He relates his experiences flying the photo version of the Hawker Hurricane MK.1 against Rommel around Egypt and Libya. The author is a Englishman attached to the 451 squadron of the Royal Australian Air Force and relates he had less trouble with the marauding Messerschmitts then he did with his wild Australian squadron mates and how he was eventually excepted by them. The author provides a map and photos throughout to help give a eye opening and entertaining view of a squadron in the desert air war.
