This course will list the new features and the BC breaks that have been introduced to PHP for 10 years.If you are curious about the changes that PHP have witnessed from version to version, then this course is for you.You can view it as your bible for the famous interview question "what have changed or what are the new features of PHP version X".It's also a good reference if you are migrating from one version of PHP to the next one, as it lists the BC breaks introduced by the new version.With code samples, you will be able to see the features in action with different versions of PHP.To be able to see BC breaks and new features in actions we need two consecutive versions of PHP 5.6 and 7.0 for example. We will be defining a docker-compose file that will contain those two versions of PHP, and can therefore run our PHP scripts under any of the two versions.The best way to memorize is to test yourself, for this purpose a quiz of at least 3 questions is available after each section so that you can check what you have retained.
