New User Commands for Updating Symbol Paths
Creo Parametric 11.0.9.0 introduces three user commands for managing symbol paths when CAD administrators change the directory configured by pro_symbol_dir. These commands can identify existing symbol definitions, update instances to the current symbol directory, and remove obsolete absolute path prefixes.

• dump_symbol_defs_details outputs symbol definition information to symbol_defs_details.txt in the run directory, including the model name, symbol ID, symbol name, and symbol path.
• update_symbol_path updates symbol instances to the corresponding relative path from the current symbol directory and searches for the first valid matching symbol definition. The command assumes symbol names are unique within the symbol library.
• clean_symbol_paths_under_abs_path removes an absolute path prefix from symbol definitions referencing a specified directory and converts them to relative paths. This assumes that only the root symbol directory has changed while the internal folder structure remains the same.

These commands help administrators update existing symbol instances that reference outdated directories and allow the symbols to be refreshed when their definitions are subsequently modified.
Additional Washers and Nuts in Creo Intelligent Fastener
Creo Intelligent Fastener in version 11.0.9.0 adds options for a second nut and a third washer. These options support fastener configurations that require additional washers or nuts, including electrical connection applications and locking methods.

• A third washer can be added on each side of Creo Intelligent Fastener screws.
• A second nut can be added to Creo Intelligent Fastener screws.
• The new options are disabled by default and can be enabled through the Creo Intelligent Fastener options.
