Dr. Locke is one of the most disagreeable people I've ever met. Nothing is good enough. My work, my thoughts, my mere existence seems to offend him. Every interaction with the gorgeous, broody professor is charged with animosity. It's hard enough to be a woman in my future line of work, taking classes surrounded by men that feel more entitled just because of their sex, but adding the fury from a petulant professor is not something I am prepared for. Until we are forced into each other's space and begin to peel our layers back one by one.
I used to think hating a teacher would be the worst kind of problem, but I was wrong. Falling in love with him is so much worse.
