Hidden among the deserts and mountains of Arizona is a famous canyon-the Cañada Del Oro (Canyon of Gold). Legend has always said that it contained a "lost" mine, fabulously rich in gold, and for decades prospectors and adventurers came in search of this hidden treasure. Always, their high hopes were dashed, and most of them returned home or went off in search of something else.
But a few people still lived there. Dr. Jimmy, driven by tuberculosis from his city practice; his mother; Natachee, the mysterious, educated Indian; the Janson family; and two crusty old prospectors, Bob Hill and Thad Grove, with the pretty young Marta whose past was veiled in mystery.
Into the Canyon of Gold one day came a young city man who said his name was Hugh Edwards. He settled down in the cabin next to the "Pardners."
When tragedy comes to the Canyon with the lure of the "lost" mine, every person is faced with a test of courage.
