The Tigers nest refers to Ngalop, a tribe from Bhutan. They used to dance masked in their ceremonies. Symbolizing different deities, demons and animals the masks are used when the Ngalop act out spiritual stories from their collective past. Religious gathering for them is the Tschechu festival which take place in the temple of Paro Takstang or The Tiger's Nest, located more than 10.000 feet above sea level, it is one of the most sacred cities un Bhutan. A legend holds that a former wife of an emperor, willingly became a disciple of Guru Rinpoche. The new Shango Records compilation entitled The Tigers Nest.
