This debut solo album from the Nightwish mastermind and keyboard maestro is improbably based on the graphic novel The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck. Featuring a full orchestra and choir, four lead vocalists, and an array of guest musicians including Nightwish piper Troy Donockley, the album has classical, folk, and world music influences and is much less "metal" than his work with Nightwish. The beautiful, sweeping first single "A Lifetime of Adventure" features vocals by Holopainen's partner, Finnish singer Johanna Kurkela.
