Description
Hello! Are you ready to learn chess? Is chess notation and books too hard to understand? I've been there. I'm a visual learner and prefer to learn through visual models. As a teacher, I know that students love learning in different ways.
What makes this course different?
In this course you'll learn through a dynamic and engaging model that focuses on learning through doing. I'll be teaching you what I'm thinking about through my chess play as I beat Beginning and intermediate opponents. The play is genuine and authentic as I play in real-time, trying to beat advanced opponents.
What will I learn in the lectures?
I believe in knowledge and doing. As a primer to the course, I engage and explain how to move the pieces, skewers, pins, checkmates, enpassant, queenside castling, kingside castling, etc.
Why do you teach this way?
My profession is teaching and I love learning. I understand that students won't learn unless they are engaged in the content and can actively participate. I believe that conceptualizing and thinking about my comments as a play the game of chess are integral for a thorough understanding of how to play the game.
What else makes this course valuable?
I've provided you with 2 hours of content for an intuitive analysis of what to look for when you are moving your chess pieces. Every move is strategic and gives advantages and disadvantages for the players playing.
What does it take to get better at chess?
As with anything, practice! However, you won't get much better if you just practice. You also need to learn and apply that knowledge! These vides are a platform and tool for chess players to use so that they can improve their chess skills.
Who this course is for
Everyone who wants to learn how to play chess!
