We'll stay with family, she said.
What my best friend didn't tell me is that we're staying in her brother's condo. She also forgot to mention that her brother, David, will be home and is set to play tour guide for our long weekend in San Francisco. Four years ago, I would have been elated. But that was before The Incident, the most humiliating night of my life. I thought I was in love with David until he tossed me out of his room, clutching my clothes to my chest. I've never gotten over that night. I don't want to see him again. Looks like my so called best friend to the choice out of my hands.
