If you want to sell books, chances are you're going to have to advertise them. And once you move past Amazon AMS ads and list-based advertising services like Bookbub or Freebooksy, that often requires advertising creatives. For example, a Facebook ad requires that you provide an image to go along with your advertising copy.
And while most advertising options do give a free, default option, chances are that option won't be a very strong one compared to what you could do yourself.
The intent of this class is to walk you through how to create your own ad images using Affinity Publisher. And, yes, you read that right, this course uses Affinity Publisher not Affinity Photo. Most ad creatives really only require placing elements like a cover or image, they don't require fancy image manipulation. And since Affinity Publisher can also be used for print layouts, it's the easiest starting point for creating ads.
In this course you will learn design principles and walk through a handful of projects designed to introduce you to how to use Affinity Publisher to create an ad image you need. The examples use Amazon A+ content, Facebook ads, and Bookbub ads, but what you'll learn here can be applied to any advertising situation include your website or other opportunities.
