Audiority Polaris is an echo and reverb plugin inspired by early hardware digital reverbs from the late 1970s, including the Ursa Major SST-282. It combines echo, ambience, and reverb using a single multitap delay line.
Polaris recreates the concept of using unmodulated taps for Early Reflections and modulated taps for Diffusion, providing a convincing reverb while keeping the processing approach efficient. The Echo tap can also recirculate with the Diffusion section to create longer reverb tails.
The plugin allows you to edit individual taps to create custom room responses, resonant combs, Karplus-like tuned delay lines, Chorus, Flanging, Vibrato, and other effects. Additional features include Shimmer, internal Sample Rate Reduction, Stereo Width, and Swell for creative ambie
Software Overview
Audiority Polaris is a versatile echo and reverb plugin built around a single multitap delay line. Its programmable taps can be shaped into different spatial and delay-based effects, while modulation, feedback, and stereo processing provide additional control over the resulting sound.
