Cadence Sigrity and Systems Analysis is a professional engineering software suite designed for signal integrity (SI), power integrity (PI), electromagnetic, and thermal analysis in printed circuit board (PCB) and integrated circuit (IC) package development. It provides simulation and modeling capabilities that help engineers evaluate electrical behavior, identify potential design problems, and assess the performance of high-speed electronic systems.
The software combines electromagnetic field solvers with circuit-level analysis to examine interconnect behavior, power delivery networks (PDN), and other critical aspects of electronic design. Engineers can use these capabilities throughout the development process to investigate signal coupling, evaluate power distribution, and analyze complex PCB and IC package structures.
The suite includes specialized applications for different engineering tasks, including Sigrity for PCB and IC package analysis and Systems Analysis for broader system-level investigations. Its workflows also support thermal, EMI, RF, and electromagnetic simulations involving both ECAD and MCAD design information.
Software Overview
Cadence Sigrity and Systems Analysis provides an integrated environment for analyzing electrical and physical characteristics of electronic designs. Its tools help high-speed design engineers investigate signal propagation, impedance behavior, crosstalk, power integrity, and electromagnetic interactions before manufacturing.
The Sigrity technology works with major PCB and IC package design platforms, including Cadence Allegro PCB, Allegro Package, and Integrity 3D-IC. It supports end-to-end SI/PI analysis, in-design interconnect modeling, and power delivery network evaluation, allowing engineers to examine electrical performance within their existing design workflows.
The Systems Analysis product family extends these capabilities to complete electronic systems. In addition to ECAD information, its simulation workflows can incorporate mechanical components such as antennas, cables, connectors, and enclosures. This makes it possible to investigate interactions between electrical and mechanical elements during system-level analysis.

What's New in Cadence Sigrity and Systems Analysis 2026.1
This release introduces improvements across Celsius Studio, Clarity 3D Solver, Layout Workbench, OptimizePI, PowerDC, PowerSI, and XtractIM.
Celsius Studio
- GPU-Accelerated Simulation: Celsius Layout and Celsius 3D Workbench support GPU acceleration on supported Linux systems. The capability includes deployments on the Cadence Millennium AI Supercomputer powered by the NVIDIA Blackwell Platform. GPU configuration options are available in the Set up Computer Resources window, helping accelerate computationally intensive operations such as matrix calculations and numerical solving. Supported platforms include x86-64 and ARM (AArch64), with GPU architecture compatibility depending on the vendor and platform.
- Optimality Intelligent System Explorer Improvements: The design exploration environment introduces additional parameter types, enhanced exploration capabilities, customizable Python-based objective functions, and an updated interface. These changes provide more flexibility when configuring design studies and experimentation workflows.
- AI-Driven Antenna Topology Generation: Clarity 3D Layout incorporates AI Antenna Designer, which generates and refines antenna topologies according to user-defined design regions and performance targets. Configurable optimization settings and fine-tuning options support the antenna design process.
- Power Integrity Simulation Improvements: Clarity 3D Power Integrity (Clarity PI) provides low-frequency power integrity analysis for ICs, interposers, and advanced packaging designs. Its Advanced Frequency Sweep (AFS) solver and optional AI Mesh technology improve simulation stability, help reduce false resonances, and accelerate broadband PI analysis.
- Monte Carlo Statistical Analysis: Optimality introduces Monte Carlo and Fast Monte Carlo analysis flows for evaluating design variability, sensitivity, and manufacturing yield. Advanced sampling techniques and machine learning-assisted analysis provide statistical insights while reducing computational effort.
- LXMesh Meshing Algorithm: Clarity 3D Layout adopts the LXMesh algorithm in place of LMesh. The new meshing approach improves performance and robustness when processing complex geometries and challenging meshing scenarios.
- GPU-Accelerated Simulations: Clarity 3D Layout and Clarity 3D Workbench support GPU-accelerated simulations on Linux. Graphics processing resources can be used for demanding operations, including matrix computations and numerical solving.
- ECAD-MCAD Co-Design: The updated workflow transfers ECAD and MCAD information from Allegro through Clarity 3D Layout to Clarity 3D Workbench for full-system 3D electromagnetic simulation, reducing manual preparation during simulation setup.
- Rigid-Flex Design Editing: Advanced editing capabilities are available for rigid-flex designs in Clarity, PowerSI, and PowerDC workflows. The Stackup Editor and Zone Editor support the creation and management of stackups and zones. The Bend Editor, available specifically in Clarity workflows, provides bend management. These options are accessible through Tools - Options - Edit Options on the General tab.
- Discrete Component Power Ratings: Analysis Model Manager (AMM) and PowerTree support entering and editing the Power Rating property for discrete components. Updated interface fields and property panes allow power-to-current conversion.
- Multi-Board Connection Import: PowerTree includes an Import Blocks Connections option for importing multi-board block connections from a PowerTree template or connector CSV file, reducing manual configuration.
- 0Hz Start Frequency Support: OptimizePI allows simulations to start at 0Hz through the Setup for Simulation - Frequency Range/Time Range editor. This enables the inclusion of 0Hz data from PowerSI frequency sweeps for more consistent low-frequency analysis.
- Discrete Component Power Ratings: PowerDC supports power ratings when creating discrete components. The specified power value is automatically converted into the corresponding maximum current, simplifying component configuration.
- Sense Results for IR-Drop Analysis: A new Sense Results table appears in the Electric Result Table section of simulation reports. It provides VRM-to-sense and sense-to-sink IR-drop values for single-board designs.
- Automatic Port Generation Analysis: Port generation analysis is performed automatically as part of the AC-DC Fit workflow, eliminating the need to configure a separate analysis process.
- Solver-Specific Resource Configuration: The Setup dialog displays computer resource configuration options according to the selected simulation solver, PowerSI or Clarity 3D FEM. These settings are accessible through Set up Computer Resources in the workflow panel.
- Model Component Type Support: Electrical Performance Assessment now includes the Model component type, allowing existing capacitor and die-model definitions to be incorporated into assessments with less manual configuration.
Cadence Sigrity X Aurora provides a workflow for investigating crosstalk problems directly within Allegro X PCB Layout. When a high-speed interface experiences signal interference after PCB layout, engineers can use simulation to identify coupled traces and measure their crosstalk behavior.
The troubleshooting process includes locating affected nets, evaluating coupling between adjacent traces, applying layout corrections, and running further simulations to verify the results. This approach helps engineers investigate signal integrity issues using simulation rather than relying solely on assumptions about trace spacing.
