Data Governance Program Operations and Maturity

Organizations announce data governance, publish a policy set, name a council, then discover months later that nothing about how data gets defined, owned, or trusted has actually changed.
Organizations announce data governance, publish a policy set, name a council, then discover months later that nothing about how data gets defined, owned, or trusted has actually changed.
In this course, Data Governance: Program Operations and Maturity, you'll gain the ability to plan, run, and improve a data governance program that produces real results.
First, you'll explore how a governance program moves from strategic intent to practical execution through a charter, a clear scope, a prioritized first wave, and the workflows that make governance operational.
Next, you'll discover how to operate the program over time using a recurring cadence of council meetings, stewardship work, and issue management, and how to measure adoption, quality, and decision throughput without falling for vanity metrics.
Finally, you'll learn how to assess governance maturity against models such as DAMA-DMBOK, CMMI DMM, and Stanford's Data Governance Maturity Model, diagnose performative governance, and turn the findings into a prioritized improvement roadmap.
When you're finished with this course, you'll have the skills and knowledge of data governance program operations and maturity needed to help launch, sustain, and advance governance in a real organization.
