Doctor's Assistant: Your Partner in Clinical Practice by P DEEPAK KUMAR
English | 2020 | ISBN: N/A | ASIN: B08JJBPNQT | 978 pages | PDF | 19 Mb

As a medical student,I always wanted a book that provided information that was easy to read, understand, assimilate, reproduce, apply, and practice. A book that would help me face those challenging questions during my presentations confidently and with grace. Though many books offered these separately, I often found it difficult to find them all in one place. When I was handed the opportunity to teach students, I passionately tried to bridge this gap. I cannot demarcate a point in time when my passion to teach transformed into a hunger to learn and educate myself and others. This transformation resulted in the inception of an idea to write the book. Basically, I have made available a book that I always wanted as a student.
Strictly speaking, this book should be read as a conversation between two doctors discussing case presentation and that is the only thing which is strict. The uniqueness in this book is the sense of freedom you will experience while reading. With practice, you can extend this experience while reading other books too. The book doesn't tell you THE WAY to practice, but as its name indicates it ASSISTS you in your practice. This book does the job of an assistant to any doctor, be it a student or a teacher or someone involved purely in clinical practice.
This book will assist you to use your knowledge effectively. Any increase in your knowledge will directly impact the quality of your practice. The only investment you have to make is your imagination. When you are reading, imagine yourself as a junior listening to a senior or a senior guiding your junior. This part is also made simple with examples so that you can relate to them with your previous experiences and improve further rather than starting afresh.
Though the book is written keeping in mind mainly the students in the medical ward, as it deals with the skill of interviewing and examining patients meticulously, this book will be a useful addition to the bookshelf of any doctor.
