I didn't think there could be anything worse than teaming up with a headstrong alpha like Eli to investigate a series of shifter disappearances.
Only there is something much worse, and now I'm wishing like crazy Eli was still by my side.
I've woken up in some sort of facility. The creepy, experimental kind where nameless scientists are forcing me to do tests.
And I'm not the only one. There are others here too, and I don't need to be a private investigator to know that we've been chosen for a reason-I've just got to figure out why.
But first, I need to get out of here, because whoever is behind this doesn't care if we live or die.
My only hope is that Eli cares about me more than he was letting on and is trying to find me.
And if I do manage to survive, maybe I'll be brave enough to admit that I don't hate him as much as I thought.
