Software Overview

Ink Steel provides eight chord sets and four single-note sets that can be selected from the user interface or accessed through keyboard key switches. Each chord set maps pitch bend according to the major scale, providing a dedicated playing approach for pedal steel-style parts.
Within the chord sets, white keys provide diatonic chords, while black keys offer additional common chord variations including 1variation, 2, 4min, #5dim, and b7. This arrangement allows chord-based parts to be played directly from the keyboard.
The single-note sets use the white keys for the major scale. Black keys provide duplicate scale notes that do not respond to pitch bend, allowing players to combine bending and non-bending notes for single-note lines, double stops, and custom movements.
Chord sets and single-note sets can be transposed using the arrow controls in the user interface. The instrument also provides five additional processed sounds for expanding its tonal range.
