Kalon
Though his life could have been vastly different, Kalon Dreven had no complaints about the one that he was living now. Handsome, successful, rich, and cultured, he truly was living his best life. Granted, that was easy to do when death wasn't a real concern and no one was the wiser about what you really were, but still. At any rate, vampires and werewolves didn't exist, right?
However, everything changes when he's told that an ancient prophecy has turned out to be true, rather than an old myth, a simple old wives' tale. Though skeptical at first, the loyalty that he feels for his family is unwavering, so he has no problem doing what is asked of him. Everything seems to be falling in place until he realizes that there's more to the prophecy than he'd been told.
Mora
Though her life could have been vastly different, Mora Kamra had no complaints about her life-past, present, or future. Beautiful, kind, strong, and independent, she couldn't imagine a better life for herself. Even though her life had started out by being dumped at a fire station as a baby, she'd been blessed with the best adoptive parents in the world. After all, not all foster kids were that lucky, right?
However, everything changes when she decides to throw caution to the wind on her twenty -fifth birthday. Approach by a gorgeous stranger, she's more than willing to set her morals aside for a hot one-night stand, much to the encouragement of her best friend. Everything seems to be falling in place until she wakes up tied to a bed, her gorgeous date telling her an unbelievable story about vampires.
