Bis seine Arbeitgeber versuchen, seinen wissenschaftlichen Durchbruch als Waffe einzusetzen. Doch Guy beschließt, mit seiner Forschung zu verschwinden. Nach einer Identitätsänderung lebt er nun ein ruhiges Leben außerhalb eines kleinen Dorfes in Europa. Die meiste Zeit verbringt er allein mit der Arbeit an einer kleinen Hütte, die er selbst gebaut hat. Gelegentlich hilft er den Einheimischen und gibt sogar einem brillanten jungen Schüler Nachhilfe. Sein ruhiges Leben wird unterbrochen, als seine ehemaligen Arbeitgeber seinen Aufenthaltsort entdecken.
