OkMap Desktop provides a workspace for viewing and organizing digital geographic information. Raster maps can be calibrated and displayed, while vector maps and hybrid combinations of raster and vector data can also be used.
The application supports common cartographic projections and includes databases containing more than 500 predefined projections organized by geographic area and more than 300 datum definitions. Multiple maps can remain open simultaneously for comparison and geographic data management.
For GPS workflows, OkMap Desktop supports GPX waypoints, tracks, and routes. Users can create and organize these objects on a map and transfer the resulting geographic data to a GPS device. Elevation information and estimated travel times can also be assigned automatically.
