This is still a excellent book on the Soviet Air Firce of WW II even though it is 43 years old now. In fact, it is one of the few books that is devoted solely to Air Force activities. The book discusses mostly air operations over the several Fronts during the war. There is little on technical characteristics of Soviet aircraft or on the development of the Soviet aircraft industry. There is some discussion of the differing concepts of Soviet air strategy compared to American and British strategic bombing concepts.
