SampleRoll DRFT v1.1.3

Software Overview

---

SampleRoll DRFT combines audio effects with real-time CRT and VHS-inspired visual processing. Users can load existing footage or provide live camera input, then shape the sound and image through six main character controls. The plugin is designed around synchronized audio and visual processing rather than treating the picture as a separate visualizer.
Its additional FIELD, CIRCUIT, PAINT, and feed functions expand the workflow beyond basic tape degradation. Users can generate visuals without source footage, alter the simulated television circuitry, accumulate previous frames into evolving images, and use visual information to influence the audio.

Key Features

---

• Process audio and video through the same VHS/CRT-inspired effects.
• Work with video files, GIFs, still images, or live camera input.
• Use BURN to add hot, scorched character to the signal.
• Use DRIFT for tape-style movement and blurred visual trails.
• Use BEND to warp and skew the picture.
• Use DROPOUT to create synchronized holes in the audio and image.
• Use WASH to soften the processed material.
• Use NOISE to introduce television-style snow.
• Create visual material with 23 FIELD generators.
• Shape generated visuals with hue, zoom, glow, tint, and flow controls.
• Use FOLLOW to control how strongly generators respond to audio.
• Blend generated patterns with video or live camera footage.
• Modify the television signal through the CIRCUIT processing page.
• Use deflection, color reference, and video-line injection effects for additional distortion.
• Use PAINT to accumulate, rotate, drift, and fade previous visual frames.
• Create audio feedback from visual frame characteristics with feed.
• Record processed audio and video together as an MP4.
• Export footage in 16:9, 9:16, or ultrawide formats.

Why Choose SampleRoll DRFT

---

SampleRoll DRFT provides a combined sound-and-picture approach to VHS and CRT-style processing. Instead of generating a separate visual reaction to the music, its processing can link individual events across the audio and image, including synchronized dropout effects.
The FIELD, CIRCUIT, and PAINT pages provide additional ways to build and manipulate visuals, while the feed function allows characteristics of the displayed image to influence the audio. This makes the plugin suitable for experimental music videos, audiovisual performances, and other projects where sound and picture need to evolve together.

System Requirements

---

SampleRoll DRFT supports Windows and macOS. The supplied source does not specify additional hardware or operating system requirements.
