The world of Ecekom is far from empty. Most people have been enslaved beneath the vicious rule of the cruel Abliatos. Vawtrians, Shivennans, and Bealorns alike have been weakened and neutralized until they are only shells of their ancestors. Naatos's particular skillset may now be essential in freeing his people and restoring them to their former glory.
Amelia continues to contend with the Ki Valo Nakar and reconciles her identity with her true gifts. The doors inside her mind remain open as the Okalu continues to stalk and gain ground. Her own burgeoning skills are greatly needed to help the enslaved peoples of Ecekom not only be free but to heal. Meanwhile the Ki Valo Nakar remains relentless in the execution of its own plans and goals.
And through it all, Naatos and Amelia strive to further understand and strengthen one another.
