AI tools are becoming part of everyday work, but knowing when to use them (and when not to) is just as important as knowing how. Instructors Sasha Luccioni and Boris Gamazaychikov, cofounders of Sustainable AI Group and cocreators of the AI Energy Score benchmark, walk you through practical decisions for using AI more efficiently at work. Many common tasks like writing emails, researching topics, or summarizing documents don't always require the most advanced AI tools or multiple prompt iterations to get useful results. This course helps you make smarter decisions about when AI is truly needed, how to right-size your tools for the task at hand, and how to prompt effectively without wasting time or compute. Learn practical ways to combine AI with your existing workflows instead of replacing them entirely. Along the way, see how small choices like model selection, prompt clarity, or task fit can improve efficiency without slowing you down.
