Description

Strategic procurement is not simply about finding the right supplier, getting the lowest price, or preparing a good contract. In real business life, procurement is aboutmanaging uncertainty, anticipating risks, making the right decisions, and creating sustainable value for the company.
This is exactly the perspective we will take throughout this course.
Starting with the fundamentals of strategic procurement, we will go through a complete journey coveringsupplier search and selection, RFI/RFP/RFQ processes, risk management, negotiation, contract management, Supplier Relationship Management (SRM), and Supplier Development.
However, what truly makes this course different is not only the topics we cover, buthow we approach them.
This course goes far beyond standard expressions learned from books or training programs. It is built onmore than 15 years of real field experience, including successes, mistakes, crises, failures, and most importantly, the lessons learned from them.
The cases and examples you will see throughout this course are not theoretical scenarios created for training purposes. Where necessary, names of people, companies, or certain identifying details have been changed to protect confidentiality, but the situations themselves are based onexperiences that actually happened in real business life.
I started my procurement career in supplier development. Because of this, from the very beginning of my career, I spent a significant part of my time not in the office, buton suppliers' production floors.
And very quickly, I learned something important
Theoretical knowledge gives you a strong foundation. But when you are facing a real supplier problem, when production is about to stop, when the same quality problem keeps coming back, when deliveries are failing, or when an unexpected crisis appears in the middle of a negotiation, theory alone does not always tell you what to do.
That was exactly my starting point when I created this course.
My goal is not only to explain"how procurement works," but to take you, as much as possible, to the production floor and to the table where real decisions are made.
That is why throughout this course, we will not only discuss methods and tools. We will also look atwhy we used a particular method, when it worked, where we made mistakes, what we could have done differently, and what the real-life consequences of those decisions were.
You will work with practical frameworks and decision-support tools that you can use in your own professional life, from risk matrices and supplier segmentation to performance indicators, contract risks, and supplier development models.
At the end of this course, my goal is not to leave you with procurement theories to memorize.
My goal is to help you understandwhich questions to ask, how to approach a problem, and how to structure your decisions when you face a real supplier, a real risk, a real negotiation, or a real crisis.
Because good procurement is not simply about buying.
Procurement is, first and foremost, about managing uncertainty.
